Terrace Collective is pleased to present Domestic Dialogues, a group exhibition featuring the work of seven artists curated by the collective itself. From November 15 to December 15, 2024, the exhibition explores the intricate relationships between space, memory, and identity through various creative disciplines. Located at 187 Deptford High Street, London, Domestic Dialogues showcases artists who share a background in architecture yet employ diverse mediums, including photography, sculpture, video, and sound art.

This exhibition highlights the tension and harmony between personal and collective memory within domestic environments. The works on display probe how architecture and built spaces influence our sense of identity and belonging. Artists in the show explore these themes through intimate and expansive gestures, drawing on personal histories, forgotten places, and overlooked objects.

By transforming everyday materials and scenes into poignant narratives, the artists bring attention to the emotional and psychological connections we form with the spaces we inhabit. The works resonate with the quiet power of lived experience and the subtle forces that shape our environments and, ultimately, ourselves, whether through analogue photography, video installations, or sculptural interventions.

The site of the exhibition, a repurposed building that has served many functions over the years, provides the perfect backdrop for this exploration of place and memory. Just as the building has been redefined and reclaimed, so too do the artists in Domestic Dialogues invite visitors to reconsider how spaces hold, reflect, and transform the identities of those who live within them.

This exhibition is part of Terrace Collective’s ongoing commitment to bridging the worlds of architecture and art, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, and creating a platform for artists to challenge and redefine creative boundaries.
