About the Terrace

We are the Terrace Collective, a group of forward-thinking alumni from the Architectural Association (AA).

Our mission? To create a vibrant platform and physical spaces where architects who have ventured into the arts can showcase their work. We aim to spark conversations that challenge and redefine the boundaries between these creative disciplines through curated exhibitions, thought-provoking talks, hands-on workshops, and immersive events. This intersection is not just valuable; it’s crucial for the evolution of both fields.

For us at the Terrace Collective, the AA Terrace is where we first came together, exchanged ideas, and built the bonds that eventually led to the creation of this collective. It was a place to catch a breath of fresh air, to pause and connect—whether for a fleeting moment or a meaningful conversation.

This shared space is why we chose the name Terrace Collective. The terrace represents more than just an architectural element; it's a metaphor for stepping out, coming together, and creating something new. It's where architecture meets life, people from different paths intersect, and something fresh is always on the horizon.

Our logo, featuring a chair from the AA Terrace, is a nod to this important space—a symbol of the connections we formed and the collective vision we now pursue. As we move forward, creating new spaces and experiences, the spirit of the AA Terrace will continue to inspire and guide us.
